Just For Laughs is proud to present Margaret Cho’s new show Cho Dependent. Margaret Cho’s new show is a healthy mix of new stand-up and live music. In the spirit of Cho’s diverse identity and equally diverse career, Cho Dependent features her burgeoning foray into the realm of comedy music. Peppered throughout her brand new stand up show, Cho will be showcasing a few songs from her forthcoming album, Cho Dependent, (to be released on August 24th) which features collaborations with Tegan & Sara, Ani DiFranco, Andrew Bird, Jon Brion, Grant Lee Phillips, and more.

Music is a new endeavor for the provocative comedian, who's built a cult following through tours, concert films and TV specials. Cho’s fifth stand up concert film, Beautiful, is now available on Showtime and DVD, and Cho is also starring in the new dramatic series, Drop Dead Diva, the second season coming this June on Lifetime. Cho’s new stand up show, Cho Dependent, features her trademark raunchy, socially relevant and politically-charged comedy, and also offers a unique chance to see her perform a handful of songs from her new comedy music album, Cho Dependent.

“I want to create a new genre of music that is hilarious but also seriously good, so I turned to some of my music heroes to help me out,” says Margaret Cho in reference to her forthcoming album Cho-Dependent. “I have wanted to make an album like this forever. I love comedy music!”
