Celina Rotundo and Hugo Patyn are Argentine Tango dancers, masters, and choreographers possessing an especially particular connection and style, making them first-class dancers together. They have danced in a myriad of places around the world, presenting challenging, intense, and sensual choreographies.
Their careers, to date, have spanned more than 20 years each, and dozens of dance shows that they have performed, choreographed, and directed. As instructors, they have initiated and inspired hundreds of students around the world. They teach classes and intensive seminars, not only throughout Argentina, but everywhere they appear. They have traveled to different cities, helping inspire new communities and collaborating in the evolution of Argentine Tango. At their school in Argentina, they teach social and stage tango to people as young as five, and all the way to adults – including differently-abled individuals.
Both Celina and Hugo have had extensive artistic training from an early age in ballet, Argentine folklore, music, flamenco, and even figure skating. When Tango entered their lives, they had the influence of a great number of mentors. They now lead Argentine Tango Company, which has participated in events around the globe. With its own character and incomparable esthetic, the company creates fantastic performances of Argentine Tango, complete with fantastic costumes and unique skills, embodying musicality and imaginative choreography.
This is their debut with the ESO.
