Firefly Theatre is known for thought-provoking thrills and stunning displays of athleticism and grace. Alberta’s award-winning Aerial Circus Performance Company has captivated audiences nation-wide and beyond with their unique fusion of Aerial Arts and Theatre. Their work has been presented at festivals and events throughout North America and beyond, including the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D. C., the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver, WinterCity Festival in Toronto, and Canada Day in London, England.

Firefly Theatre’s work is unique in Alberta and has been described as “spectacular and breathtaking” (The Sun), “gorgeous and terrifying” (Vue Weekly), and “fresh, funny, neck-craning spectacles” (The Journal). Firefly Theatre established Alberta's first Aerial Arts Program in 2004, offering circus classes and workshops to community members. The company has been honoured with a City of Edmonton Excellence Award in Arts and Culture, a Mayor’s Award for Innovative Artistic Direction, and the inaugural Edmonton Event Awards – Best Entertainer, 2016. Here tonight to defy gravity are Firefly Acrobats Lyne Gosselin and Mackenzie Baert, along with Firefly’s Artistic Director Annie Dugan and her special friends, Mochi & Berri. Performers from Firefly Theatre last performed with the ESO in December 2016.
