Repertoire
RIMSKY-KORSAKOV: Scheherazade

This is your chance to sit "B-Side" a musician from the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra as you work through a favourite piece from the classical repertoire. You’ll get a unique "behind the scenes" glimpse of a real orchestra at work, and play music along with the pros! If you're a non-professional instrumental musician, or you used to play and thought those days were behind you, it's time to dust off your orchestral instrument and join the ESO on-stage at the Winspear Centre for an evening rehearsal, led by Music Director Bill Eddins.

To apply:

  • You must be at least 22 years of age
  • Be able to read music and play a standard orchestral instrument
  • Registration fee of $100 - registrants will receive confirmation after their seat is reserved
  • Acceptance will be confirmed by e-mail; music will be sent to successful applicants before the night, to allow time to practice

Click here to register*. Register early, as there are limited seats available per instrument.

*When registering, you will be asked to select your instrument.  Then you’ll click on “Best Available Tickets” to submit your order.  After your order has been submitted, the page will list your section (e.g. woodwinds) instead of your specific instrument, but your specific instrument choice has been recorded.

Within a week of booking, you will be emailed a link to a form for you to give us more information about your preferences.
