This is your chance to sit “B-Side” a musician from the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. You’ll get a unique behind the scenes glimpse of a real orchestra at work while playing music alongside them. If you’re an instrumental musician – or you used to play and thought those days were behind you – it’s time to bring out your orchestral instrument and join the ESO on stage at the Winspear Centre for an evening rehearsal, led by ESO Music Director Jean-Marie Zeitouni!

It’s never too late to start learning an instrument! This beginner-friendly program is designed for adults with little to no musical experience who want to live out their dream of playing the violin or cello. Participants will attend a group lesson for 75 mins per week for five weeks and learn to play from scratch! You can expect a foundation of basic technique including good posture, sound production, and learning beginner melodies. An instrument will be provided to each participant for the duration of the program. No experience needed!
