Teaching Quote/Philosophy:
I believe art and music contribute profoundly to the development of children, particularly young children.
My passion is teaching students as young as 2 years old—introducing them to rhythms, melodies, note reading, singing, and basic instrument techniques.
I know from the success I’ve had with many young children that starting them in preschool is valuable in their overall development and love for music and the arts!
I encourage students to perform regularly and give them opportunities to play with others.
Lesson Description:
I offer 30, 45, and 60 minute lessons for students of all ages and abilities.
Classical is my focus and training but I do have a love for fiddle repertoire for those interested.
I am currently running my studio at Arts Habitat creative studios in the Arts District and encourage my students to perform and play together regularly in duos, trios, and small string ensembles. Students have the opportunity to be accompanied by the piano in their weekly lessons which is a vital part in their development and understanding of music.
I prepare students for RCM Exams, Edmonton Youth Orchestra auditions and the Edmonton Music and Speech Arts Festival.
