Shin Yu Wang

Shin Yu Wang is a Taiwanese-Canadian horn player who loves sharing music across cultures and communities. Originally from Taiwan, her journey has taken her through Vancouver, Toronto, and beyond. She recently completed her Advanced Diploma at the Glenn Gould School and returned for a second summer as a fellow at the Aspen Music Festival. 

In the 2025–2026 season, Shin will join the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra as 2nd horn on a one-year contract. She has also performed with groups such as the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and the National Ballet of Canada. Shin brings sincerity and care to her playing and is continually inspired by the people she meets through music.
