Kaylyn Legare

Kaylyn Légaré is a Medicine Hat violinist whose musical journey began at age four, with formal violin studies beginning at age five. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Classical Violin Performance from McGill University, as well as a degree in Music Therapy from Acadia University. During her studies, Kaylyn broadened her musical experience by exploring pop, fiddle, jazz, and bluegrass, teaching herself viola, and performing with an all-female folk and bluegrass quartet at venues including the Montreal Jazz Festival. After returning to Medicine Hat in late 2022, Kaylyn has continued her career as both a performer and educator, opening her own violin studio and creating a music academy program for dedicated and promising young string players.

Kaylyn currently performs full-time with country singer Morgan Klaiber, touring throughout Canada and the United States. She has also recently performed alongside artists including Brett Kissel, Gord Bamford, Dallas Smith, Kyle McKearney, and many others.
