Jim Jingpu Xi

Violist Jim Jingpu Xi joined the ESO in the summer of 2025. Prior to joining the viola section, he served as Assistant Principal 2nd Violin at Symphony Nova Scotia as well as section violin at Orchestre Symphonique de Québec and Vancouver Symphony. His primary teachers include Federico Agostini, Ian Swensen and Kay Stern.

When away from the viola and violin, Jim enjoys taking pictures and travelling abroad with his wife.
