Stephanie Morin

Assistant Principal


Stephanie Morin was appointed Assistant Principal Flute of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra in September 2018. A native of Montréal, Stephanie attended McGill University and the Montréal Conservatory of Music, where she studied with flutists Carolyn Christie, Denis Bluteau, and Marie-Andrée Benny.

She has participated in various summer music programs, such as the Music Academy of the West, the National Arts Centre Young Artists Program, and the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, where she was the recipient of an Award of Excellence.

Stephanie is a prize-winner at the Canadian Music Competition, the Prix d’Europe, and the Orchestra Toronto Concerto Competition, and maintains an interest in solo and chamber music. She has also served as principal flute of the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean Symphony Orchestra and the Laval Symphony Orchestra, and performed with ensembles such as Les Violons du Roy, the Orchestre Metropolitain, and the Montréal Symphony Orchestra.
