Symphony Under the Sky is back home in Hawrelak Park!
Join us for one of our city’s favourite summer traditions. Your Edmonton Symphony Orchestra will perform two programs of incredible music from September 3–6. To buy tickets, view the events here.
If a performance needs to be rescheduled due to inclement weather, you will receive an email up to four hours ahead of the scheduled start time. We also recommend that you keep an eye on our website and social media channels for the most up-to-date information.
Tickets and Seating

PL1, PL2, and PL3 are all reserved chair seating. PL4 grass seating is general admission.
For grass seating, please bring your own chairs, blankets, or cushions. We encourage you to bring lower festival-height chairs if possible to help preserve sightlines for patrons behind you, but taller chairs can be brought if needed.
Box Office
The Box Office will open at the Heritage Amphitheatre starting at 4:30 PM for the Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances and 11:30am for the Sunday performance (2.5 hours prior to the start of each concert).
Child Policy
All children, including infants, require a ticket. Youth ages 17 and under can attend for free in the grass seating; chair seating requires a paid Youth chair ticket. Infants under 12 months will receive free Babes in Arms tickets from the onsite Box Office prior to the concert.
Festival Admittance
Gates will open 90 minutes prior to each performance. Pets are not permitted. Service animals will be admitted.
Parking & Transportation
Limited parking is available at Hawrelak Park. A FREE ETS shuttle to the Amphitheatre is available from Windsor Car Park, with a flat parking fee of $6.00 per vehicle. Free shuttle service will begin 2.5 hours prior to the performance and run until 1 hour after the performance ends.
For anyone using Dedicated Accessible Transit Service (DATS), please note that drop offs will be allowed in the Hawrelak Park main parking lot. ESO staff driven golf carts will be available for patrons to take you from the parking lot to the amphitheatre, and from the amphitheatre to the parking lot following the performances. Biking
A bike lock-up will be available in Hawrelak Park near the Amphitheatre gate. Further details will be confirmed soon.
Food & Drink
There will be a variety of food vendors available before and during the performances. Food vendors will include two Winspear Centre concessions tents. Non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages will be permitted on-site, but outside alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited.
Smoking
There will be a designated smoking, vaping, and cannabis area outside the Heritage Amphitheatre. Smoking must be 10m away from the exit.
Weather Updates
Should the event experience inclement weather, the performance will be moved indoors to the Winspear Centre at the same start time. Should the event be moved to the Winspear, details regarding parking in the downtown area around the Winspear Centre will be included in an email.
