Recognized as an emerging artist of impassioned energy, interpretive integrity, and vibrant communication, Simone Porter has been captivating audiences around the world. Simone will bring her bold style to Prokofiev’s impassioned Violin Concerto No. 1 in D major.
The evening also celebrates German composer Brahms as the ESO performs the Schoenberg orchestration of his Piano Quartet in G minor, and the beauty of northern lights with John Estacio’s Borealis.
We regret to inform you that ESO Chief Conductor Alexander Prior’s New Violin Concerto has been postponed due to unforeseen practical circumstances. Guest artist Simone Porter has graciously agreed to perform Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in its place for the June 1 Masters concert.
Please join us for symphony prelude at 7 p.m. on the Upper Circle (Third Level) lobby with Amanda Banister.
