Mozart’s dazzling mastery of symphonic form reached its pinnacle with his well-known Symphony No. 40, the G minor. An early Italian sonata for strings and baroque trumpet featuring soloist Assistant Principal Trumpet Frédéric Payant and late-romantic incidental music inspired by the forbidden love of Pelléas and Mélisande provide exquisite contrast in this wide-ranging showcase of the orchestra.

Sibelius Selections from Pelléas and Mélisande, Opus 46
