About The Concert
Experience two sides of Mozart—his intense and dramatic Piano Concerto No. 24 of which Beethoven said admiringly to his student Czerny, “we will never write anything like that!” and the sunny and energetic Symphony No. 31 "Paris" reflecting the bustling French capital.
Each movement of Stravinsky's Pulcinella Suite brings theatrical characters to life by mixing baroque melodies with modern harmonies.
The ESO premiere of Camille Pépin’s colourful tone poem Un Monde Nouveau, and the Edmonton debut of celebrated British pianist Christian Blackshaw, will make this a concert to remember.
This concert will include an intermission.
Prelude
Patrons of this event are invited to attend a prelude presentation before this concert on Thursday, November 27 and Saturday, November 29, starting at 6:45 PM in the Upper Circle Lobby (3rd Floor).
