Sibelius: Nordic Landscapes

Conducted by Jean-Marie Zeitouni
November 26 & 28, 2026 7:30 PM

About The Concert

Sibelius' music is inseparable from the Nordic landscape: forests, snow, vast spaces, and that famous moment of inspiration when he saw the swans in flight, which inspired the final movement of his popular Fifth Symphony. Andrew Wan, a favourite guest soloist and Concertmaster of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, returns to perform Sibelius' impressive Violin Concerto in this program rooted in the North.

Plus, Jacques Hétu's Légendes was composed to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Québec City, with each movement inspired by a Québécois legend.

This concert will include an intermission.
