About The Concert

There’s been a murder at the symphony! The Composer is dead, and every instrument in the orchestra is a suspect. The Inspector will lead the audience through this quirky and amusing story as he explores the whole orchestra and tries to crack the case. As the feature piece on the concert program, this acclaimed children’s book by Lemony Snicket set to music by Nathaniel Stookey is an unconventional and entertaining way to introduce children to the instruments of the orchestra and excitement of the symphony.

Symphony For Kids concerts are designed to be the ideal child-sized introduction to orchestral music and are recommended for ages 5–12. Family-friendly activities are available in the lobby prior to each SFK concert, so be sure to arrive early – and, of course, there will be fresh popcorn!

This concert will not include an intermission.
