About The Concert

Triple-threat composer, conductor, and pianist Dinuk Wijeratne is back! A JUNO Award-winner who made his Carnegie Hall debut while still a student in 2004, Wijeratne has performed with everyone from tabla legend Zakir Hussain to Yo-Yo Ma.

Dinuk's own tone poem, Polyphonic Lively, is a unique musical experience. In his words, it's "a multiplicity of voices, lines, and themes that decide – on a whim – when to coalesce and coexist.”

You’ll also enjoy a dramatic concerto written for concertmaster Robert Uchida, as well as The Forest Reclaims the Land – a serene piece that imagines a future where the people have gone and the forest flourishes once again.

This concert will not include an intermission.
