About The Concert

Hear profound music by some of the most influential German composers spanning several musical eras. Mendelssohn's "Reformation" Symphony draws directly from chorales, and the same spiritual themes run through Bach and Wagner’s Parsifal, which is deeply tied to ideas of compassion, redemption, and shared faith.

Concertmaster Robert Uchida and Principal Cello Rafael Hoekman join forces for a gripping performance of the final work Brahms' composed for orchestra, which features a heartfelt dialogue between two soloists.

This concert will include an intermission.
