About The Concert
Composed separately but published as a collection, Verdi's Four Sacred Pieces sets hymns and prayers to lush, choral sound with orchestra. Ukrainian soprano Anna Pompeeva makes her ESO debut with Sibelius' Luonnotar, a tone-poem on the legend of a goddess.
Plus, a romantic suite by Strauss and Debussy's Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun round out this magnificent program.
This concert will include an intermission.
