About The Concert

Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla's signature South American flair is showcased in his concerto for a unique and unusual orchestral instrument— the accordion. As a winner of the world's most prestigious accordion competitions, Radu Ratoi performs this work, plus an impressive arrangement of Bizet's famous Carmen Fantasie.

This concert will include an intermission.

Prelude

Patrons of this event are invited to attend a prelude presentation before this concert on both Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1, starting at 6:45 PM in the Upper Circle Lobby (3rd Floor). This talk by Aaron Au is a fantastic way to learn more about the pieces being performed in your concert.
