World premiere of "Ancient of Days" by Canadian composer Allan Bevan.

Commissioned by Edmonton Metropolitan Chorus, "Ancient of Days” will be a multi-media work for chorus, orchestra, vocal soloists and actors based upon the ideas, poetry, and visual art of the English mystic, William Blake (1757-1827).

The concert will be an all-Bevan event (a world-first!), with the composer in attendance. In addition to “Ancient of Days”, the concert includes other masterful compositions by Allan Bevan: “All Suddenly the Wind”; “The Souls of the Righteous”; “The Time Draws Near”; “Full Fathom Five, from ‘No Mortal Business’"; and “Danny Boy” (arr.).
