To bring a ray of spring sunshine to your world, conductor Michael Stern presents Schumann’s delightful Spring Symphony and Aaron Copland’s beloved Appalachian Spring. Concertmaster Robert Uchida steps into the solo spotlight to perform Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2, complete with soaring melodies, rollicking folk dance episodes, and plenty of violin pyrotechnics to heat up the stage.
You are invited to attend a Prelude presentation before the Friday, February 10 and Saturday, February 11 concerts, starting at 6:45 PM in the Upper Circle Lobby (3rd Floor). Attendees are in for a special treat, as musicologist D.T. Baker will interview Artistic Advisor Michael Stern.
