Bike to the Symphony Returns This Month

By Micha Poworoznik

After a long hiatus, the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and Paths for People have partnered up to bring back Bike to the Symphony, a long-running and beloved event open for cyclists of all abilities. Bike enthusiasts will have the unique opportunity to ride across the river with fellow cyclists, including ESO staff and musicians, and enjoy a performance at the Winspear Centre together.

On the evening of May 19, the group will begin riding from Old Strathcona and end the journey downtown just in time for that evening’s concert, Dark Patterns. Composer and conductor Samy Moussa will conduct pieces by living composers, including two ESO premieres of his own works. This one night only performance is the perfect chance to experience the innovation of today’s young talent.

Riders participating in Bike to the Symphony will be able to take advantage of a special ticket promotion and a waived coat check fee for their gear. For more information, including ride and route details, visit https://pathsforpeople.org/symphony/
