Get Your Hollywood Fix with Your ESO This Month!

In late December, as the holiday season starts to wrap up, your Edmonton Symphony Orchestra will be getting ready for an exciting performance.

Hollywood for the Holidays, presented by RE/MAX, will take over the Winspear Centre on December 28 & 29. After packed performances last year, this new tradition will continue to bring music to life for the whole family to enjoy in the last week of December. As an extra special treat, popular guest Lucas Waldin will return to the Winspear to conduct this concert for the second year in a row.

This year, you can expect to hear some familiar tunes from your favourite blockbusters such as Titanic, Star Wars, and Wonder Woman, along with beloved Disney classics from The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and more. An exciting addition to the lineup of music is Canadian composer Howard Shore’s award-winning score from The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, as well as the 1970’s Queen hit Bohemian Rhapsody, featuring ESO violist Ethan Filner.

There will be some special surprises during the concert, including a cameo performance by special guest Celeigh Cardinal, plus some more unexpected delights. You won’t want to miss this magical experience that movie fans of all ages will love!
