Shauna Johannesen

Shauna is an award-winning writer, actor, and director. Her plays have been produced across Western Canada and her short films have garnered numerous accolades on the festival circuit. She has a BA, an MA and two kids - so that's a lot of education.

Shauna loves storytelling in all its forms and has written a musical puppet film, a bilingual Christmas play, several one-act comedies, a full-length play, a couple tv pilots, and a delightful children’s story called The Spectacular Sarah T. Murdoch.

As an actor, Shauna has worked on numerous projects including Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever, When Calls the Heart, Noelle, and The Babysitters Club - where she plays Stacey's Mom.

Shauna has lived in Edmonton, Michigan, Boston, Kenya, Honduras, and Amsterdam. She now lives in Vancouver with her two kids and her musician husband.
