Viktoria Grynenko

Viktoria is a Ukrainian-born violinist. She performs in various genres as a soloist, in chamber groups and large ensembles. She received her PhD from the University of Alberta in 2021, defending a thesis that explored the relationship between violin and dance, and she is actively involved in multi-disciplinary projects with dancers. In August 2023, she released her debut album “Violin in Movement.” Currently, she is working on four musicological publications and various chamber projects, while at the same time recording an album of contemporary Ukrainian music and teaching her violin studio. Viktoria was a substitute teacher with YONA for years prior to taking on her current position.
