Britten & Dvořák

Conducted by Dinis Sousa
November 17 - 19 7:30 PM / 2:00 PM

You are invited to attend a Prelude presentation before the Friday, November 17th and Saturday, November 18th evening concerts, starting at 6:45 PM in the Upper Circle Lobby (3rd Floor). This talk by musicologist D.T. Baker is a fantastic way to learn more about the pieces being performed in your concert.

An exciting romantic symphony, a lyrical violin concerto, and a collection of dramatic tone poems that depict the many unpredictable “moods” of the ocean make this a concert full of contrast and intrigue. Our own Laura Veeze, who has charmed and electrified audiences with superb performances since she joined the ESO in 2014, will play music by Chausson that glows with late-Romantic warmth. Colourful orchestrations and delightful melodies by Dvořák and Britten guarantee this will be a concert you’ll always remember.
