Moving Mahler

Presented with Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra
Saturday, November 11 7:30 PM

You are invited to attend a Prelude presentation before the concert, starting at 6:45 PM in the Upper Circle Lobby (3rd Floor). This talk by musicologist D.T. Baker is a fantastic way to learn more about the pieces being performed in your concert.

Gustav Mahler's epic Third Symphony embodies his vision that "A symphony must be like the world. It must embrace everything." And what better way to convey its profound evolution – from awakening to enlightenment to love – than the combined forces of the Edmonton Symphony and Calgary Philharmonic orchestras, plus the magnificent voices of mezzo-soprano Susan Platts, the Calgary Philharmonic Chorus, and the Calgary Girls Choir. An unmissable event!

This concert will not include an intermission.
