About The Concert

ESO Concertmaster Robert Uchida takes centre stage as he performs Brahm’s beloved Violin Concerto, which was dedicated to prominent violinist Joseph Joachim. Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 is bursting with rich, emotional moments, and features a charming pizzicato movement. Canadian composer Linda Catlin Smith describes her piece as "creating different shapes and atmospheres out of which melody could arise, like a constantly shifting tableau.”
