About The Concert

Superstar violinist Timothy Chooi performs Bruch’s vibrant Scottish Fantasy for Violin, a work bursting with energy that was based on four folk tunes the composer found in a collection of Scottish music. One of Mozart’s final symphonies he composed begins with a majestic fanfare and includes elegant, spritely melodies. Plus, Mendelssohn's overture was inspired by the natural phenomenon in Scotland known as Fingal’s Cave.
