UofA Department of Music presents

For The Love Of...

feat. University Symphony Orchestra and the UOFA Opera Theatre Workshop
Sunday, April 2 3:00 PM

Figaro, Juliet and Baba Yaga walk into a bar... To hear how it all ends you'll have to come to our concert! Rest assured that it will be about love, humour, tragedy, angelic voices and saxophones.

The program will feature awesome talents from our own Opera Department, singing one of the most beautiful human creations ever put to paper, the Act II Finale of Mozart's Marriage of Figaro. The remainder of our concert will highlight some of the greatest symphonic writing for the saxophone. Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances, Mussorgsky/Ravel's Pictures at an Exhibition and, to go with our love theme, a Romeo and Juliet suite by Prokofiev.
