Two brilliant milestones in music make up this ambitious evening, led by ESO Chief Conductor Alexander Prior and featuring pianist Bernd Glemser. Tchaikovsky’s magnificent Piano Concerto No. 1 is one of the best-known and most-often performed. Bruckner’s powerful Symphony No. 4 in E-flat major "Romantic" sought to encapsulate both his religious and musical mysticism.
