About The Concert

Vaughan Williams’ delightful Symphony No. 5, dedicated to fellow composer Jean Sibelius, is one of his most serene works, filled with “spiritual radiance.”Young Canadian cellist Luka Coetzee, who recently won the 2023 International Paulo Cello Competition, makes her ESO debut performing Schumann’s expressive and heartfelt Cello Concerto. Plus, Reynaldo Hahn’s whimsical piece for harp and orchestra will be brought to life by the ESO's own Nora Bumanis.
