About The Concert

ESO Concertmaster Robert Uchida takes centre stage as he performs Brahm’s beloved Violin Concerto, which was dedicated to prominent violinist Joseph Joachim. Vaughan Williams’ delightful Symphony No. 5, dedicated to fellow composer Jean Sibelius, is one of his most serene works, filled with “spiritual radiance.” Grace-Evangeline Mason described her piece, The Imagined Forest, as a “fantastical journey” through a surreal musical space.
