About The Concert

Pacho Flores brings his incredible trumpet skills as he makes his ESO debut performing his own dynamic concerto for flugelhorn, as well as the spirited Huapango by Mexican composer José Pablo Moncayo. After taking over a decade to compose his first symphony, Brahms’ Symphony No. 2 was finished in less than a year. However, this did not compromise the intricate and rich sound of the masterpiece, which includes his recognizable “lullaby” theme.

Patrons of this event are invited to attend a prelude presentation before this concert on Saturday, March 15th, starting at 6:45 PM in the Upper Circle Lobby (3rd Floor). This talk by D.T. Baker is a fantastic way to learn more about the pieces being performed in your concert.
