About The Event
Mad Cool Vino Español – Spain Uncorked, is a is a festival celebrating Spanish wine, food, music and culture. It is one of very few events in North America endorsed by Wines of Spain with producers and wine makers from Spain in attendance. It will feature over 150 wines from 35 Spanish wineries. Multiple food stations under the direction of Blair Lebsack, one of Canada’s top chefs, will showcase Spanish inspired dishes prepared by RGE RD, The Butchery by RGE RD, Partake, Filistix and the Italian Centre Shop.
Spanish music and Flamenco dancing is provided by remarkable Edmonton musicians and dancers David Jay: The Spaniard, Spiral Flamenco, and Flamenco en Vivo.
Proceeds from the event will help support the Winspear Expansion, and there will be several opportunities at the event to learn more about the exciting changes happening at the Winspear. Experiences will include a Spanish Soundscape demonstrating the impressive new sound system in the main concert hall, a Winspear Expansion info area that includes videos and renderings, a chance to book a private tour of the expansion site, and more!
