About The Concert
Join us for Road to Joy, a concert and celebration to raise funds for the Youth Orchestra of Northern Alberta (YONA).
At this inspiring event YONA students will perform at the Winspear Centre, alongside your Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. Road to Joy is a fundraising concert for YONA. Tickets are complimentary, but we ask each guest to make a meaningful gift to the program.
Five days a week, for almost three hours each day, students receive group instrument lessons, led by qualified teachers, at no cost to their families. In this caring environment, students are given nutritious snacks, homework help, and engage in free play and physical activity. By providing holistic care and introducing children to the power that comes from making music, a profound connection happens. It costs approximately $10 a day to provide a student time with a teaching artist, which means your donations benefit children in the following ways:
- $200 – One day of Teaching Artist support for a class of 20 students.
- $1,000 – One term of YONA for 1 student
- $2,000 – A full year of YONA for 1 student
YONA is supported by philanthropists like you. Your gifts ensure that children in Northern Alberta’s priority neighbourhoods discover, grow, and learn through music.
