Donating Securities & Other Ways to Give

If you want to donate to the Winspear or Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, but an online donation is not an option for you, please consider these other methods.

Donate Shares or Appreciated Securities

Lower your taxes, impact your community, and be recognized. Donate shares or publicly traded securities and be exempt from paying tax on the capital gain. You also get a tax receipt for the full value of the donated shares. Alberta has some of the best tax benefits for charitable giving. Ask your financial advisor about how to maximize your value and your impact. Contact us at donations@winspearcentre.com for more information.

This form should give your advisor everything they need to arrange a gift of securities to the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, YONA, the Banks Centre, or the Winspear:

IMPORTANT: Class F Mutual Funds cannot be accepted. If you plan to gift securities in 2025, please donate before December 15. Security donations received after December 15 may not be processed before year-end.
