About Winspear
Since 1997, the Francis Winspear Centre for Music has served as Northern Alberta’s preeminent concert hall. Located in downtown Edmonton’s Arts District, our world-class facility is the proud home of the renowned Edmonton Symphony Orchestra (ESO) and the Tommy Banks Centre for Musical Creativity. Our purpose is to fulfil the human need to make and share music.
In addition to our diverse performance schedule, the Winspear Centre provides over 30 immersive music learning opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds. From Education Concerts to Rusty Musicians, we strive to provide accessible opportunities for our community to engage in hands-on music exploration. Our largest program is the Youth Orchestra of Northern Alberta-Sistema (YONA), which offers students in our region’s priority neighbourhoods free access to music education five days a week during critical after-school hours.
Annually, the Winspear Centre welcomes 250,000 people worldwide to experience the transformative power of music in the heart of Edmonton.
