Safety • COVID-19 Response

Updated November 15, 3:30 PM (MT)

The Winspear Centre has updated its COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Please note that these protocols are in place for every event at the Winspear Centre.

Valid proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or proof of a negative privately paid PCR test that has been taken with 48 hours of your event start time is required to enter the Winspear Centre, effective October 1, 2021.

Rapid tests are not accepted.

We believe that this is essential to provide a safe environment for our patrons, musicians, and staff, as well as to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community. The Winspear Centre already requires all staff and musicians to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

  • Everyone ages 12 and up must present their verified COVID-19 vaccine record QR code upon arrival that they have been fully vaccinated (final dose received at least 14 days prior to the event).
  • Everyone aged 18 and over must show photo ID along with their QR code or a negative test result.
  • As of November 15, 2021, the verified COVID-19 vaccine record QR code is the only valid Alberta proof of vaccination accepted by operators participating in the Restrictions Exemption Program, which includes the Winspear Centre. We will use the AB Covid Records Verifier App to scan your QR code. You will still need to show photo ID that matches the name on your QR code. We strongly recommend that you save your QR code on your phone, either in your photos or Apple Wallet. If you have a paper copy, please laminate it to ensure there are no wrinkles, as paper copies are more difficult to scan.
  • Other Provincial, Territorial, or Federal equivalents records will also be accepted.
  • Your personal health records will not be saved, or shared.
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult.
  • Masks are mandatory for everyone in all public indoor spaces, as per the requirements put in place by the Province of Alberta and City of Edmonton.
  • We ask that if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, do not come to the Winspear Centre. Please contact the Box Office to discuss your options.

We will be monitoring the COVID-19 situation in our city and the province closely, and will update our protocols as needed. Please refer to your concert’s event page for show-specific information and continue to check back regularly prior to visiting the Winspear Centre.
