Daniel Gervais

Daniel Gervais is a two-time Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Champion. He has an M.Mus in classical performance from the University of Alberta. Some of Daniel’s performance highlights include the 2006 Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, D.C., the 2012 London Olympics as cultural ambassador of Alberta and fiddle soloist with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra for Canada 150 at the Alberta Legislature. In addition to fiddle and classical music, he plays gypsy jazz with his award-winning group Hot Club Edmonton. Daniel lives in Edmonton with his wife and four young children under 10. He loves cooking, biking, kayaking and cross-country skiing.
