The Composer is Dead
By Nathaniel Stookey, with text by Lemony Snicket
February 11, 12, & 14, 2025
10:30 AM & 1:00 PM

There’s been a murder at the symphony! The Composer is dead, and every instrument in the orchestra is a suspect. The Inspector, played by ESO Principal Violist Keith Hamm, will lead the audience through this quirky and amusing story as he explores the whole orchestra and tries to crack the case. As the feature piece on the concert program, this acclaimed children’s book by Lemony Snicket set to music by Nathaniel Stookey is an unconventional and entertaining way to introduce children to the instruments of the orchestra and excitement of the symphony.
